Explanation of event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

After calculating handicaps, Suzanne declared Mike Linnet to be the BASOC Club Champion 2022 with Finley Hollinger the U16 champion. Congratulations!

Directions / Parking

Parking will be behind the Community Hall in Nethy Bridge. Please park with consideration to other users.

Map / Terrain

The Nethy area has a mix of settlement, woodland and forest with a detailed path network and some off path contour features.

Registration and Start times

Registration for all by 10:45am
Race briefing at the front of the Community Hall (weather dependant): 10:45am
Open Score course Mass start 11am
Under 16 Score course Mass start about 11:05am
Courses will close promptly to allow for control collection before the 'Bring a dish' lunch.

Course Information

Under 16 Score course: time limit of 45 minutes. This course will be entirely south of the river and so does not involve road crossings. Each control will be worth 10 points.
Open Score course: time limit of 45 minutes. The Handicap system being applied will be announced at the race briefing. Each control will be worth 10 points.
Everyone is welcome to the BASOC Club Champs but only BASOC members can be awarded BASOC Club Champion 2022.

Entry Details

Entries are now closed to allow for map printing; a very few extra maps are being printed - contact Lynne if you wish to come and have not yet entered.
Course fee: free to BASOC members; non-BASOC members adults = £3 and juniors = £2.

Dog restrictions

Well-behaved dogs on a lead, outside ONLY. No dogs in the Community Centre please.
