Local level event

Explanation of event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Local event for club members, local newcomers and visitors to the area! DESPITE THE EXTENSION OF START TIMES, THE GREEN COURSE IS VERY BUSY.

UPDATE SUNDAY 25 July - email with start list has now been sent to all who have entered (or the person who entered them). Please check your Spam folder before you contact me to say you haven't received it!

Even later addition - loose control descriptions will be available but they might not be on waterproof paper.

Directions / Parking

Park at the golf course car park, at the north end of Gynack Road in Kingussie. If the car park is full, you will need to park elsewhere in Kingussie and walk up the road.

Map / Terrain

Wonderfully mixed woodland on sloping hillside, topped by open moorland (used by longest course only) and a few nice crags for good measure.

Registration and Start times

Starts 18:00 - 19:00. You will be allocated to a 15-minute start block. Note we've extended the range of start times. For the GREEN COURSE ONLY there is a 20 minute walk to the start.

Course Information

Green: 3.2km, 120m climb (also available on "no paths" map - please state your choice!)

Light Green 2.5km, 40m climb

Orange 1.9km 30m climb

Yellow 1.9km, 20m climb
