WOLF Training 2/4

Week 2 of WOLF training! We are offering training at 2 different levels - one group suitable for younger juniors/anyone who's started more recently to the sport (TD1-3). The other group for those who are happy adventuring off the paths and want to practise and improve skills at this level (TD4/5).

At the end of the 4 weeks, the coaches will be able to help you with which course you should run at our WOLF weekend on 23rd/24th September.

Meet at 6.30pm for a group warm-up (brain and/or body!!). Finished by 7.30pm.

Pre Event Info

This week will start with a map walk for all; the more experienced will be introducing the map and area to the less experienced. The map walk will take us to a starting point; from there a course of approx. 3km will be available - there are several options to cut this short so you are all back by 7:30pm. This course is suitable for the less experienced.

The more experienced will have the opportunity to work on 'attack point to control' techniques.

Electronic punching will be used.

Every Tuesday we go out orienteering, usually with a navigational focus. Call it training or just playing, it’s as hard as you want it to be, both physically and technically!
Newcomers are welcome and there is always someone to explain things and help you get started.

Meet at 6:30 prompt. Please come appropriately dressed for the weather on the night, the sort of thing you would wear if you were going for a trail run.
You need to be back by 7:30pm.

£2 Adults, £1 Juniors for BASOC or other orienteering club members.
£3 Adults, £1.50 Juniors for non members.
