Explanation of event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Thank you to all who came along to sample our lovely woods at Nethy Bridge. The smiling faces at the Finish and compliments about the courses made it well worthwhile for us. Many thanks especially to:

Pre-event Information
A warm up event before the British Champs (Middle & Long) and World Masters Series on 7th & 8th May at Lossie on the Moray Coast.

Directions / Parking
Parking will be adjacent to the Nethy Bridge Community Centre on the Games Field Parking area.
Map / Terrain
Join us in Nethybridge to explore beautiful woodlands including sections of Abernethy National Nature Reserve and the Speyside Way. Intricate path networks in the community woodlands with roots, rocks and heather.

Registration in Nethy Bridge Community Centre: from 17:30 to 18:30
Start: from 18:00 to 19:30
Course Information
The longer course will include short “urban” sections through the
village to link up all the gorgeous woods but there will also be a
shorter course which is entirely within woodland to the south of the
village.
Approximate course length / info:
A: 8km - mixture
of fast trails and rooty fun! Some road crossings and urban controls -
one section in very intricate path network to test your navigation
B: 6km - same course as A but missing one forest loop
C: 4km - no road crossings and less complex path networks so suitable for juniors or novice
Entry Details
Entry will be through the BMBO website. Closing date: 1st May 2022
eMTBs allowed to take part but must declare on entry and will be listed as “non competitive”
Dog restrictions
Dogs only allowed in car park field; please clean up and take the waste away.
