Explanation of event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Parking will be on the "Playing Fields" on the SE side of the B970 in Nethybridge. What3Words schooling.voter.sandals

Registration and Start times
Registration 13:00 - 14:00 NOTE Entry on the day will be very limited. Bring cash or pay by BACS on your phone at the time.
Starts 13:30 - 14:30
Courses close 16:00
The Start and Finish are close to Parking. It will be helpful you can be at the Start for 14.15 so everyone can start by 14.30.
Please pick up Yellow and SCORE maps from the BASOC tent before you go to the start.
For Orange and Green, if you have your own dibber go straight to the Start where your map will be waiting.
Collect hired dibbers from the BASOC tent.
Make sure you go to Download even if you don't finish.
Course Information
Green course: 5.5km, 90m climb, 11 controls. Map scale 1:10,000. This course uses the entire mapped area. The Green course crosses and goes alongside a few quiet roads, all are within the area subject to a 20mph limit.
Orange course: 3.6km, 70m climb, 10 controls. Map scale 1:7500
Yellow course: 2.0km, 55m climb, 9 controls. Map scale 1:7500
Score course: time limit 45 minutes, 14 controls available, each worth 10 points. Map scale 1:7500.
Orange, Yellow and Score courses all stay south of the river, and do not cross any roads (though they might touch the end of residential tracks).
Courses close 16:00
Control descriptions will be printed on the maps AND available loose at the start.
Entry Details
Members of SOA or BOF: adults £8, juniors & students £4.
Non-members: £10, £5. Payment details are on the entry form.
ENTRIES HAVE NOW CLOSED. We are NOT taking late entries. We will have extra Yellow beginners maps but only a few for the other courses - NONE for Green. To enter on the day please be there promptly at 13.00 so we can note your details. Bring cash or pay by BACS on your phone at the time.
Dog restrictions
Dogs must be on lead and NOT in the competition area please.

Facilities
Toilets in Community Centre 100m from parking.
There is a Strathspey Canine Club companion dog show in the field next to our parking. If someone in your party is dog-sitting and would like to enter, registration for pedigree, novelty (including fancy dress) and obedience classes is up to 13.00. Fun for any dog over 6 months; pedigree or mongrel.
The dog event next to our parking field will have raffles, soup, sandwiches and home baking (card payments accepted!). There's also the wonderful Nethy House cafe in Nethybridge, on the junction by the bridge; refreshments might also be available at the Nethybridge Hotel - a larger establishment on the other side of the road. Toilets and excellent cafes are also available in nearby Grantown on Spey, Boat of Garten and Aviemore.
Safety Notes
Ticks are probably present in the area - check yourself and your children carefully. Note there is a public road through the competition area; consideration of this has been included in the risk assessment.
