Map scale 1:5000, contour interval 2.5m. Map is drawn using Sprint Orienteering Symbols. Magnetic North 2017.
Full moon is forecast for 25th January - if it is clear it will be stunning!
There is the possibility of some ice remaining in a few places - be prepared!
Tees and Greens are marked as OOB (dark olive colour). These should not be crossed, please run around them.
Registration and Start times
The 'Event Centre' will all be from a van parked at the end of the road in the industrial estate beside the crossfit gym.
Event Centre:

Shadowing and Juniors. Note that anyone under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied on the course by an adult unless the parent/guardian can convince the organiser of the young orienteer's proven competence at night orienteering. If you shadow a junior on the Short/Long/Score you should declare yourself non-competitive to the organiser if later running one of those courses.

Dog restrictions
Dogs may be taken into the area on leads.
Contacts / Officials
Janette Macleod and Lynne Walker
Facilities
None, it's a car park. Please 'go' before you arrive! Check back here for any change to these details.
The crossfit team have very kindly said competitors can make use of their portaloo if required. Please leave it clean and tidy (note if the gym is closed there will be no access to toilets so really best to go before you arrive at the event).
Safety Notes
Spare torch & whistles are required and mobiles strongly recommended at all NNC events. Random kit checks may take place. An extra top layer and high-vis reflective clothing may also be sensible choices as the SVGC is exposed to the wind and inclement weather.
There will be dog walkers and other people around in the event area, please be aware and considerate of others.
