Local level event
Explanation of event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Directions / Parking
Parking will be at the Golf Club in Carrbridge. NOTE there will be no facilities as the club is closed.
Thanks to Carrbridge Golf Club for use of their space.
Map / Terrain
Tolquhonie is a lovely Scots pine woodland with good runnability throughout while providing a physical test at the same time.
BASOC acknowledge the co-operation of Scottish Woodlands in organising the event.
Registration and Start times
Starts will be from 17:45 to 18:45.
Course Information
Long technical - 5.0km, 150m climb
Short technical - 2.9km, 90m climb
Score course - great if you're not particularly confident, or just want to do your own thing! - 45 minute time limit to visit as many controls as you wish, in any order. Not part of the Northern Night Cup league.

Entry fees: BOF/SOA members £8 senior, £4 junior; non-members £10/£5.
Details required for each person you are entering:
- name
- club
- age category
- SI dibber number if you have one
- chosen course
- emergency contact number
- name of person whose number you've given
Note these last 2 items will be deleted immediately after the event, in line with GDPR.
Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult unless they have proven competence and confidence at night orienteering.
Your email will be acknowledged (usually within 48 hours) and we will send you our bank account details for payment.
Entries must be received before 8p.m. on Wednesday 5th January.
