Craigellachie map
Information
The Craigellachie Nature Reserve is immediately west of Aviemore and is accessed via a tunnel under the A9. The lower area is birch forest with some small lochans. There is a good path leading up 400m or so to an intricate open area around Lochan Dubh. A good area but badly effected by bracken in the summer.
Map updated to ISOM 2017-2 and Magnetic N in July 2023.
This area should not be used for orienteering between 01 March - 31 August in agreement with the landowners.
