Loch Vaa map
Information
A classic Speyside pine forest west of the Speyside railway line. Heather and blaeberry underfoot with detailed moraine terrain.
East of the railway line is moorland with patches of birch and pine which restrict visibility. The heather is deeper in this area.
West of the main railway line is a small area, often referred to as North Granish - moorland and patches of birth make it ideal for contour work.
This area should not be used for orienteering between 01 March - 31 August in agreement with the landowners.
