How to join the club

You do not need to be a member of a club to participate in orienteering, but joining Badenoch & Strathspey Orienteering Club brings many benefits.

How to join the club

You do not need to be a member of a club to participate in orienteering, but joining Badenoch & Strathspey Orienteering Club brings many benefits.

We have two basic membership grades:
Senior – aged 21 or older on 31 Dec of the membership year - £23.00
Junior – aged 20 or younger on 31 Dec of the membership year - £3.30

This annual membership fee also includes membership of the Scottish Orienteering Association (SOA) and British Orienteering.  Membership and Renewals are administered by British Orienteering on our behalf.

By joining, you become eligible for club coaching, continued participation in all club activities, reduced rate entry fees at many competitive events. See the full list of benefits detailed below.

British Orienteering is committed to safeguarding the privacy of your information. By “your information” we mean any information about you, which you or third parties provide to us. This policy relates to the privacy of your information and can be found at British Orienteering's Privacy Principles outline our commitment to the secure and responsible handling of information about our members.

Data protection

British Orienteering will, when asked, provide details relevant to your membership to your Club and/or Association. British Orienteering also shares details with online entry providers, event results providers and with Data Processing Agencies working on behalf of British Orienteering. All such bodies to which your information is provided are required to sign a data sharing agreement with British Orienteering regulating the manner in which the privacy of your details is protected. Under no circumstances will British Orienteering provide your contact details to other external organisations. If you do not agree to British Orienteering using your membership’s details in this way please contact the National Office.
