An opportunity to run around Grantown-on-Spey using a mixture of urban and woodland virtual control sites. You download a copy of the map as a PDF, print it out yourself, and then run around the course.

The start is located at the Grantown High Street car park. From Aviemore direction, this on the right hand side of the High Street 100m before the traffic lights at the junction with Spey Ave (A939).

When you've done that, go to basoc.routegadget.co.uk

You should then see something like this:

If you recorded your track with a GPS

Select the GPS link (top right)
Upload this as a GPX file and position it (View a tutorial on how to do this)
Select the “Combined” course from the dropdown menu and enter your name.
You won’t get the opportunity to add your time as shown in the image if you are uploading a GPS track, so you could include it in your comments.
Select the “Save route” button.

If you are manually adding a route

Click the “Draw your route” box to get a tick in it.
Select the “Combined” course from the dropdown menu and enter your name.
You must add a time taken in the “Fin” box in the format of mmmss.
Only the start and finish have been plotted for the course, so draw your route as one single line between them. If you make a mistake you can use the “Undo” button to go back one click at a time.
Select the “Save route” button.
